How to get amazon to refund without return

Amazon returnless refunds

Amazon’s returnless refund policy is a genius move. Basically, Amazon sometimes just refunds the purchase without making you send the item back. Why? It’s cheaper for them, especially for low-cost or damaged products. Shipping things back costs money, and for a lot of cheap stuff, it’s not even worth it.

For customers, it’s a huge win. No hassle, no shipping labels, just an instant refund. Amazon knows it’s good for business—it keeps customers happy, which means more loyalty and fewer complaints. It’s also more efficient for them because handling returns can be a logistical nightmare.

However, this usually only works on cheaper products, and at Methods.to we’re not looking for the pocket change, we’re looking for the big bags!

Refunding expensive orders

Here’s a little secret: any Amazon order, even desirable and expensive stuff like Apple products, can be refunded. One thing: it has to be fulfilled and shipped by Amazon. This means that as long as Amazon is handling the logistics, you can request a return or a refund. No third party sellers!

Third-party sellers can use the SAFE-T (Seller Assurance for Eligible Transactions) claim process to dispute refunds. If a third-party seller believes that a refund was issued without the item being returned or if the item was different, they can open a SAFE-T claim. Amazon will investigate SAFE-T claims, and if the claim is valid, the seller may be reimbursed. This can lead to your account being flagged, having your account suspended, being rebilled, or even having them inform the feds.

There are multiple methods that you can use to refund your expensive amazon orders, such as:

Fake Tracking ID (FTID) Method

This method involves providing a fake tracking ID to Amazon customer service. The process is straightforward and has a high success rate. Here’s how it works:

  • Step 1: Contact Amazon customer service and explain that you are trying to return the item.

  • Step 2: Provide a fake tracking ID when prompted for return tracking information.

  • Step 3: Amazon often refunds the amount without verifying the actual return, because the tracking ID from the label that they provided to you says that the item has arrived in the warehouse, so now it’s no longer your responsibility as a customer.

We have another in-depth article about all the FTID methods on our blog too.

Amazon Police Report Refund Method

Lately, the Amazon Police Report Refund Method has been gaining a lot of traction among refunders. Basically, you fake a police report claiming your Amazon package was stolen or never delivered. Then, you contact Amazon support, mention the “report,” and they often give you a full refund or replacement without too many questions. Just because you seemingly got the police involved, and they dont want the smoke! It’s been getting more popular because it’s a pretty easy way to get a refund without a lot of hassle.

Refund First Scan Method

Amazon has introduced a “Refund First Scan” policy, which allows refunds to be issued as soon as the return label is scanned by the carrier, without waiting for the item to be delivered back to the warehouse. This method can be exploited by:

  • Step 1: Requesting a refund, Amazon will provide the return label.

  • Step 2: As soon as the label is scanned by the carrier, Amazon issues the refund.

  • Step 3: The item does not need to be actually returned, as the refund is processed based on the initial scan of the label. That means you can send them an empty box, or a box full of bricks, full of air, whatever you desire.

Refunding on fresh vs aged Amazon accounts

When it comes to refunding on Amazon, it is possible to be succesful on fresh accounts. However, for more expensive items, typically those costing a few hundred dollars or more, it is safer to use an aged account. An aged account is one that has been around for a while and has a history of successful orders. This is because Amazon’s system may flag new accounts, with no purchase history, attempting to return high-value items as suspicious.

Having an aged account with a couple of successful orders can help build trust and reduce the likelihood of your refund request being denied or flagged for investigation. It shows that you are a legitimate customer who has engaged with the platform in a normal way. This will improve the chances of a easy refund process for higher-value items.

In summary, while fresh accounts can be used for refunds, an aged Amazon account with a positive purchase history is preferable for more expensive items to avoid potential issues and ensure a smoother refund process.
